Norma E. Turner

Mrs. Norma E. Turner, 79, of Mt. Airy died on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Lorien Life Center, Mt. Airy. She was the wife of the late Leslie L. Turner.

Born on March 23, 1928, in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Frank Harold and Harriet Babington Harmon. Mrs. Turner was a sales clerk for Fredlin Jewelers in Silver Spring and Shaw Jewelers in Gaithersburg for a total of 40 years. She enjoyed to crochet, especially blankets; but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Bryant and husband Richard of Potomac, Joyce Stone and husband Neal of Damascus and Holly Carneal and husband Michael of Culpepper, VA; two sons, Leslie L. Turner, Jr. and wife Maria of Frederick and Donald F. Turner of Culpeper; a brother, Frank Harmon of California; two sisters, Joanne Weishaupt of Texas and Gail Squires of Florida; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura L. Gill.

Services: A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy with Rev. Wallace A. Lusk officiating.

Interment will be private.
