Norma Loy

Norma J. Loy, 77, of Knoxville, Maryland, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 21, 1939, in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Lewis) Spitzer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Loy, Jr.
Norma is survived by her brothers, Samuel Spitzer of CA and wife, Norma and children, Gary L. Spitzer of Altoona, PA and wife, Diane and children.
Surviving children are Pamela Draper and husband, Terry, Roy D. Loy, III, Donna S. Loy Nichols and husband, Allen, Darin S. Loy and wife, Melinda and Misty C. Loy; additionally, she is survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rebecca McCloud, Pamela Pedelco; and brother, John Spitzer.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Burkittsville Ruritan in Burkittsville, MD.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Frederick County.
Cremation services are being handled by Stauffer Crematory, Inc. and Stauffer Funeral Home in Brunswick.
