Norma J. Ramsburg, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at Kline Hospice House on May 21, 2023.  She was born on July 9, 1939 in Baltimore Maryland to Walter E. Wright and Helen E. (Moxley) Wright.

Norma graduated from Frederick High School in 1957, and after a few years in the business world, she left the workforce to marry and raise a family.  Norma is survived by her husband of 63 years, J.R. Ramsburg, Jr.; their son, J. Ray Ramsburg III and wife, Holly; grandchildren Justin Ramsburg, Allie Ramsburg and boyfriend, Tom Mitterndorfer, Jacquelyn McGaughey and husband, Sean, and Jacob Ramsburg; great grandchildren, Grayson and Emory; sisters-in-law, Martha Popovic and Mary Alice Grove; numerous nieces and nephews; special cousin, Rose Harne; and special family friend, Terri Remsburg. She was predeceased by her daughter Betty Ann Ramsburg, sister, Betty Ridgley, and brothers-in-law Allan Browning and Carlton Ridgley.

Norma was a devout Christian who truly put God first, family and friends second, and herself last. A humble and selfless person, Norma was always gracious, possessing an undeniable ability to lift others’ spirits by demonstrating love and concern while subtly sharing her wisdom. Her smile lit up any room, and her warmth would brighten the darkest days.

Norma was a long-time member of St. Paul Utica Lutheran Church, where for many years she taught Sunday School, held titles of Treasurer of the Women's League and Assistant Treasurer of the Church, served supper tables at the Utica Picnic, and offered assistance whenever and where ever needed. Other favorite activities included spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading, traveling, and helping others.
