Nora O'Hara

Mrs. Nora L. O’Hara, 81of Point of Rocks, MD, passed away at her home, Friday, July 2, 2010. She was the wife of the late Lawrence J. O’Hara, Sr.

Born September 19, 1928 in Quincy, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paul Hance and Phyllis Marguerite Newman Smith.

Mrs. O’ Hara was a member of St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor Roman Catholic Church. Nora served her country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

She is survived by her children Kathleen Cella and husband John of MA, Margaret Baldwin and husband Gary of OH, Michael O’Hara and wife Roxanna of PA, Patrick O’Hara and wife Lynn of VA, Lawrence O’Hara, Jr and wife Malissa of MD and Teresa Lanza and husband Jared of CA. There are 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, 3 siblings Shirley J. Romanchock, Robert Smith and Zana M. Finch. She will also be remembered by her favorite aunt Betts Stryker.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, July 7, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, July 8, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph of Carrollton Manor Roman Catholic Church, 5843 Manor Woods Road, Buckeystown with Father Lawrence K. Frazier as celebrant.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Shamus Cella, Shaun O’Hara, Michael O’Hara, Patrick L. O’Hara, Jr, James Frye, Lawrence "Joey" O’Hara, III., Cody Baldwin and Ryan Lanza
