Noah Linwood White, 82, of Adamstown, Maryland passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Noah was born on September 13, 1941, in Salisbury, Maryland to the late James Walton and Ethel Mills White. He was raised on the family farm with his siblings. He is survived by his sisters Faye (Richard) Townsend and Janet Wilkins. He is preceded in death by his sister June, and brothers James and Mike.
He graduated from Wicomico Senior High School in Salisbury, MD and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served for four years and obtained the rank of Airmen First Class (E/4). After the service, Noah raised his sons in Rockville, Maryland while working for IBM Corporation for 30 years as a computer specialist, and then Lockheed Martin for 7 years.
He finished his career working for the Federal Aviation Administration as a system software specialist at the Air Traffic Control Center in Leesburg, VA for 10 years, retiring in 2008.
Noah exemplified the work ethic that was instilled in him at a young age, being sure to pass it along to his sons. His dedication to his family was equally impressive. In his spare time, Noah enjoyed watching a variety of sports and tinkering with all sorts of machinery and projects.
In his sons’ early years, everyone stayed busy with youth sports, scouting activities, and boating in southern Delaware.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Deborah Eggleston White, along with his two sons Jay White of Wilmington, Delaware, and Kirk White (Terri) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and two stepsons Derek Eggleston (Parissa) of Severna Park, Maryland, and Todd Eggleston (Naomi) of Baltimore, Maryland. He had nine grandchildren: Douglas, Noah, and Meredith White; Darius and Arianna Eggleston; Alexandra, Corey, Caleb, and Oliver Eggleston.
A very special thank you to the Hospice Staff and caregivers who provided Noah with great support, friendship, and love.
Noah was beloved and will be greatly missed.
