Nelson Simon

Nelson Simon, 75, of Frederick, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Simon was born on January 15, 1942 in Batchelor, Louisiana to Eddie Simon and Rose Armstrong Simon. He was the husband of Ruby Lee Simon.
Surviving are his loving wife, daughters Tammy Simon, Tanjanell Simon-King and husband Worren, Dr. Stacey Slijepcevic and husband Nicholas, and his beloved grandchildren Jasmine Sewell, Tye Sewell, Jossett King, Kinsley King and Liliana Slijepcevic.
Mr. Simon enlisted in the US Army in 1961 and he retired from his final duty station, Fort Detrick, Maryland in 1981 as a Staff Sergeant.
Private services will be held to celebrate Mr. Simon’s life. Mr. Simon will receive full military honors and be inurned at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
