Nelson Itnyre

Nelson E. Itnyre, 88, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away on November 3, 2018 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home. He was the loving husband of 66 years to Margaret “Peg” Itnyre.
Born on July 28, 1930 at home, in Boonsboro, Maryland, he was the son of the late Earl Rex and Margaret (Recher) Itnyre. Nelson served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro for many years. Nelson worked for Mack Truck in Hagerstown, as a truck driver before retiring after 34 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his grandchildren, Kelly M. Crissman (Wayne), Stacey M. McCrady (Travis), Shannon N. Brown (Dugald), Kristy L. McDonald and Kyle W. Bittner; seven great grandchildren; and brother, Jerry L. Itnyre.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ellen (Itnyre) Bittner; sister, Norma M. Itnyre and brother, Edwin R. Itnyre.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Boonsboro Cemetery.
