Nellie Metzer

Mrs. Nellie Agatha Metzer, 80, of Frederick, MD., passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Metzer.
Born April 21, 1930 in Frederick, MD., she was the daughter of the late Roy McKinley and Nellie Agatha Murray Harris.
Mrs. Metzer enjoyed spending with her family and grandchildren, crocheting, bingo, gardening and knitting. She will be remembered by her coffee group that met at Roy Rogers.
She is survived by five children Linda E. Young and husband Mike of Middletown, Clara Roxanne Crawford and husband Todd of Walkersville, Michelle L. Metzer-Heffner and husband Jay of Frederick, Edward Eisentrout and Cheryl Ruff of Hagerstown and Raymond L. Metzer, II and wife Kimberly of Drums,PA, ten grandchildren Justin Young and wife Courtney, Jessica Gretsinger and husband Alex, Ashley Kline and husband Jason, Hunter Crawford, Glenn Crawford, Joseph Powers, Jeremy Metzer, Cortney Metzer, Emily Metzer and David Metzer, three great grandchildren, her best friend Betty Craver, and grand puppy “Sarge”.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD., Sunday, March 27, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm, where services will be held Monday, March 28, at 1:00 pm.
Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
