Nellie Louise Snyder Kepler, 92, of 8507 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro and formerly of Maple Avenue, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home near Boonsboro.
Born January 31, 1916 in Locust Grove, Md., she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Lenora M. Potter Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Roscoe Kepler, September 6, 2008.
Nellie was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
She retired from the Washington County Board of Education employed at the Boonsboro High School.
Nellie was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean A. Iseminger and husband, Lloyd, of Hagerstown; two granddaughters, Brenda K. Helmick and husband, Arnie, of Hagerstown and Deborah A. Betts and fiancé Zac Gates of Williamsport; two great-granddaughters, Alexis Betts and Kira Link, both of Williamsport; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera M. Baker and Mildred E. Shifler.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro, which will open after 12 p.m.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert G. Brennan, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
