Mr. Ned Wayne Bell, 70, of Thurmont, MD passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home.
Born on May 28, 1943 he was the son of the late Jesse E. and Dorothy I. Bell.
Mr. Bell attended Frederick High School. He was the owner and operator of Bell Metal Specialties which he started in 1979. Ned served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion, Woodsboro the AMVETS and the Moose of Frederick. He enjoyed bowling, karoke, dancing and fishing.
He is survived by his son Ryan W. Bell and wife Emily of Thurmont; sisters Christina Wilcox and husband John of Frederick, Dotty Neal of Smithsburg, IdaMae Blickenstaff of Myersville; brothers Lewis T. Bell of Frederick, Jesse Bell, Jr. and wife Boots of Myersville and Danny Bell and wife Jean of Monrovia; 7 nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his 3 golden retrievers Daphney, Jasmine and Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his brother Randy Bell; sister-in-law Peggy Bell and close friend Linda Gaver.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM where a funeral service will be held Thursday, September 19 at 1PM. Rev. Ray Roberson will officiate.
Interment will be private.
