Natalie Joyce (Barnhart) Easterday, 77, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life to the next on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown.
Born on May 10, 1934, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Deloss Andrew and Thelma (Stottlemyer) Barnhart. Her husband, Leonard M. Easterday, preceded her in death.
Natalie was a 1952 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
Mrs. Easterday had formerly been an employee with the Hagerstown Shoe Company and Burton R. Hoffman Insurance Agency in Hagerstown. She retired in 1995 after 21 years with the Washington County Health Department where she was employed as the Personnel Director.
Natalie was a member of the Mt. Lena United Methodist Church in Boonsboro, where she was a member of the Apple Dumpling Gang.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda K. Cole and her husband Terry of Hagerstown; two granddaughters, Lauren Hoffman and her husband Scott, and Allison Cole, all of Hagerstown; and one great-granddaughter, Alexys Mills.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Ronald R. Kurtz will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, where the family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
