Nancy Darlene Baker

Born on March 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Lenharr) Grosh. Her husband, John N. Baker, preceded her in death on October 4, 2000.

In her early life, Darlene was employed at Frick Company. She spent most of her life working on the family farm and raising her family.

She was a member of the Farm Bureau and was a very active member of Benevola United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.

Darlene was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all.

She is survived by her four children, Kim S. Higman and husband Brad of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, Brian E. Baker and wife Teri, Sharon K. Myers and husband Kevin, and Scott A. Baker and wife Maureen, all of Boonsboro; her brother, Marvin L. Grosh of Florida; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Benevola United Methodist Church, 19925 Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro, Maryland. Rev. John H. Dean will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service at the church.
