Nancy D. Ernst

Mrs. Nancy D. Ernst, 76, formerly of Ijamsville, Maryland passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 at her son's home in Middletown, MD. She was the wife of the late John G. Ernst.

Born May 1, 1930 in Virginia she was the daughter of the late John A. and Alma I. Deuterman.

Nancy was a dedicated mate to John for 56 years and a doting mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed family and friends and some of her favorite times were spent on the Chesapeake Bay boating.

Nancy retired from the Gazette Newspaper after 20 plus years of service where she was an office manager and company conscience. She was a member of both the Garden Club and Merry Widows and Widowers in Ocean Pines, MD and the Ventnor Yacht Club and First Mates in Pasadena, MD. She was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church in Kemptown, MD

She is survived by a son, David M. Ernst of Middletown, MD, a granddaughter, Tarah A. Ernst and fiance Ryan Larranaga of Frederick, a sister, Betty Dornbusch and husband Bill of Phoenix, MD, a brother-in-law, Dean Brundage of Great Falls, VA, special friends, Donna L. Ernst, Kristin Scurti and Sid and Vicki Davis, and her numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by those who helped so much during her time of need; Chick Pierce, Leslie Brundage and Carole Brundage.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Brundage.

Services: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Nancy's Life will follow the memorial service. Details will be provided at the service.
Interment will be private.
