Nancy VenDouern

Mrs. Nancy Anne VenDouern, 74, of Woodsboro, MD., passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Allen F. VenDouern.
Born July 5, 1937 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Anna E. Mamber Shipman.
Mrs. VenDouern was a member of Glade U.C.C. Church, the Frederick Women’s Civic Club, Rose Hill Garden Club and the Walkersville Homemakers Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, gardening and quilting. Nancy had a lengthy banking career, starting with the Bank of America when it was called Maryland National Bank, and retired after 30+ years of service.
She is survived by her children Renee J. Fink and husband Robert of Westminster, MD, Rachel Obitz and husband Gary of Havre de Grace, MD, and Alan VenDouern and wife Monica of Woodsboro, grandchildren Christopher Casale, Jennifer Rickenback, Brian Fink, Jason and Derek Obitz, Julianna and Sarah VenDouern and Jordan Gaynor, two great grandchildren Kendra and Holden Obitz. She was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly Casale.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, MD on Tuesday, October 18, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9:00 p.m.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 19, at 11:00 am at the Glade United Church of Christ, 21 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, MD. Rev. Rhilip N. Curran will officiate.
