Nancy Darlene Remsburg, 73, of Frederick, Maryland, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. She died peacefully at Tranquility Assisted Living, where she was being cared for with Alzheimer’s disease. She was the wife of the late Stanley L. Remsburg for over 50 years.
Born on April 6, 1944 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Nancy Manning.
Darlene was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. She was employed at Fort Detrick, where she retired in 2012. She enjoyed vacationing with her family, arranging flowers and entertaining family and friends.
She is survived by a son, Michael Remsburg and wife,Tina, of Frederick; two daughters, Rhonda Hurt of Marion Station and Stacy Specht and husband, Don, of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Robert Hurt and wife, Stephanie, Jessica Evans, Jen Specht, Justin Specht, Stephanie Clark and husband, Phil, Tiffany DePasquale and husband, Ronnie; a sister, Joyce Manning; four great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Manning and a son-in-law, Robert Hurt Sr.
A memorial service will be held on 12 p.m. Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at the Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave, Frederick.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Frederick County.
