Mrs. Nancy Ellen Culler Kegley, 76, entered God’s arms on March 14, 2023. She was the loving wife of John C. Kegley, who predeceased her on August 31, 2022.
Nancy was born February 11, 1947 in Frederick. She was the daughter of the late Roland Kurtz Culler and Julia Grace Shaff Culler.
After graduation from Frederick High and Frederick Beauty Academy, she worked at salons in Bethesda and Middletown.
She was a lifelong member of Saint Luke's Lutheran Church in Feagaville and served on the council. She also taught Bible School and chaired the memorial garden committee.
Nancy loved working outdoors in her flower gardens. She loved reading and watching her favorite team, the Washington Redskins. And most of all, she cherished her time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia Ellen Kegley Jones; and three grandsons, Brandon, John Tyler, and Alexander Jones. She also leaves behind siblings, Julia Jeanne Biser, (Richard), Joanne Culler Passaglia, Richard Roland Culler, David Robert Culler,(Susan), and Jennifer Culler Noffsinger, (James); nieces and nephews, Susan Biser Hackney; Matthew and Andrew Culler; Justin (Kylee), Jacob (Chelsea) Noffsinger, Julia Maegan Noffsinger Olson (Britt), and Joshua Noffsinger; grand nieces and nephews; Erin Hackney; Mason, Emma and Ava Noffsinger; Saylor Olson, and Forden Noffsinger. She also leaves many extended family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by an infant sister; and brother-in-law, Dennis Passaglia.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, Feagaville, 5463 Jefferson Pike, Frederick, MD. Inurnment will take place immediately following the service at Saint Luke’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church in Feagaville.
The family wishes to thank Frederick Health Hospital and Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to St.Luke’s Lutheran Church and Frederick Health Hospice. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at StaufferFuneralHome.com.
