Nancy Cunningham

Nancy R. (Cronise) Cunningham, 71, of  Hagerstown, Maryland,  passed from this life Monday morning, December 5, 2011 at the Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

Born on July 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Mary Virginia (Taylor) Cronise.  Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne H. Cunningham in 2005.

Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

In her early working career, Nancy worked for Bechtel Corporation.  Afterwards, she worked for the Washington County Board of Education for nineteen years as an Administrative Assistant, retiring in 2007.

She was  a member of the Coin Club in Hagerstown and the Williamsport Redmen Tribe #84 in Williamsport, Maryland.

Nancy is survived by her son, Keith Keefer of Hagerstown, Maryland;  Her daughter-in-law, Denise Keefer of Hagerstown; a sister, Patricia and her husband Robert Easterday; one grandson, Mark Keefer and his wife, Jennifer of Hagerstown and one great-granddaughter, Alysen Keefer, also of Hagerstown.  In addition, she is also survived by a niece, Kris Easterday McGee and her husband, Jeff of Keedysville, Maryland.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.  The Rev. Riley T. Fralin, Jr. will officiate.  Final resting-place ceremonies will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro.

Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
