Nancy Brandenburg

Mrs. Nancy V. Brandenburg, 64, of Frederick , died on Friday June 3, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital . She was the loving wife of Richard T. Brandenburg for 39 years.

Born on August 6, 1946 in Hagerstown , she was the daughter of the late Preston Leroy and Maude Catherine Matthews Moats.

She was a graduate of St. Maria Gorette High School, Hagerstown . Upon graduation she worked in the banking industry for 30 years. She then went on to work at Salisbury and McLister in Frederick for over 9 years.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Steven Taft Brandenburg and his wife Jennifer of Frederick. Grandsons Cody Taft and Chase Anthony Brandenburg. Step-Daughter, Debra L. Dreisonstok and husband John, Step grandsons, Dustin, Daniel and Joseph Dreisonstok. Step Great granddaughter, McKensie Dreisonstok. Brother in Law, Harry English Jr. Sister in law, Betty Itnyre. Niece and special friend, Judy Hogan and husband Robert Jr. Sister in law, Sandra Norland and husband Jerome, Nephews, Derek, and Leif Norland. Special friend Faith Carpenter. Also survived by other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Taft Brandenburg who died on January 10, 1977 . Her sister, Lois E. English and her brother Vernon L. Itnyre also preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9pm on Tuesday June 7, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday June, 8 in the Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends Tim May and Burness Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens , Frederick .
