Nancy Bolton

October 15, 1935 — December 2, 2014

Nancy C. Bolton, 79, of Williamsport, Md., formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday at Williamsport Retirement Village, Maryland.

Born in Pine Grove, Oct. 15, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Guldin Fehr.

She was the wife of John S. Bolton, also formerly of Schuylkill Haven.

Nancy was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Friedensburg.

A 1953 graduate of Cressona High School, she then attended West Chester University, where she received her bachelor's and master's degrees in teaching.

She was formerly employed by Blue Mountain High School and Schuylkill Haven Middle School as a health and physical education teacher. Nancy was passionate about teaching, her students and competitive sports. She coached girls' basketball, field hockey and lacrosse. She retired from Schuylkill Haven Middle School in 1998.

She and her husband were active with the Schuylkill Valley Corvette Club, and they participated in car shows, Pottsville cruise night, fundraisers and leisure travel throughout the United States.

Nancy was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Richard and Arthur Fehr.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a brother, Dennis Fehr, Friedensburg; daughters, Susan Simonson, wife of Dustin, Hagerstown, Md., and Amy Driscoll, wife of Patrick, Germany; four grandchildren, Grace, Andrew, Delaney and Addison; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Reformed Church, Friedensburg, with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nancy C. Bolton Athletic Award Fund, c/o VIST Bank, 237 Route 61 South, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Interment will be in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Friedensburg.
