Nancy Aronhalt

Nancy Lee Aronhalt, 86, of Boonsboro, Maryland, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on the night of March 4th 2021.

She was born February 11th 1935 to the late Irva Viola Jenkins and James Eugene Jenkins. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching TV shows like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She also loved to listen to country music artist George Jones and Vince Gill. She touched the hearts of many but in the last 4 years, her great grandson Asher, has been the light of her life. “Granny” as Asher called her, has enjoyed playing with him and just acting silly together. He will miss her very much.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Rose and husband David Rose of Charles Town, West Virginia; Pamela Philips and partner Reed Huse of Charles Town, West Virginia; Ronald Aronhalt of Hainesville, Virginia and Tammy Higgs and  husband Garland Higgs of Boonsboro, Maryland.

She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren; Amanda Marie Aronhalt, Vickie Leigh Locke, Donnie Lee Locke, Herbert Lee Whitson, William Lee Whitson, Nancy Rebecca Judd, Ridley Leroy Judd Jr., Larry Richard Aronhalt, Jeremy David Aronhalt, Heather Ann Pullen, William David Aronhalt, Crystal Aronhalt Scott, Shawn Michael Aronhalt, Amanda Nicole Holland, Derrick Ronell Aronhalt, Ryan Luke Higgs and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will also be remembered and greatly missed by our family friends the Spanglers.

She was preceded in death by her children, Richard Aronhalt Jr. of Abingdon, Virginia; Wanda Whitson of Bristol, Virginia and Wilma Johnson of Woodbridge, Virginia and grandchildren, Richard Lloyd Aronhalt III, Anthony Wayne Judd and James Edward Aronhalt.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Fellowship Bible Church, 160 Daniel Road in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Fellowship Bible Church, 160 Daniel Road in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia.  Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, VA. Following the interment, there will be a reception at the church. Pallbearers will be Paul Scott, Caleb Scott, Jeremy Aronhalt, Shawn Aronhalt, Ryan Higgs and Brittany Wagner.
