Mrs. Myrtie Belle Cleveland, 90, of Frederick, died on Wednesday October 10, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John R. Cleveland.
Born on June 18, 1922 in Kensington, she was the daughter of the late William Elmer and Daisy Crist Norris.
Surviving are her children, Herbert W. Windsor and wife Bonnie of Longs, SC, Judith A. Windsor Buck and husband Brian of Bartlett, Ill, Robert L. Cleveland and wife Kathleen of Frederick and John W. Cleveland and wife Sandra Rees of Frederick. Grandmother of Mark, Lisa, Deborah, Steven, Kevin and Sean. Great grandmother of 12 and great great grandmother of 3. Sister of James W. Norris and wife Jean and Katherine Stone.
Myrtie loved playing bingo, cooking, growing flowers, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She made the best caramel cake and apple jellies.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Monday October 15, 2012 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where Funeral Services will begin at Noon in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Art Monroe will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville. Family and friends will gather at the Amvets Post 2, 702 E. South St, Frederick from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Herbert W. Windsor Jr. Transplant Expense Fund and be mailed to Herbert W. Windsor Jr. Transplant Expense Fund; co/BB&T Bank; 2496 Highway 9 East; Little River, SC 29566.
