On January 13, 2021, Mrs. Henryetta Livelsberger (Hank, Henry, Etta, born July 1, 1933) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.
She was a devoted wife to William T. Livelsberger, Sr for 66 years; loving mother to William T. Livelsberger, Jr. (Theresa), Leigh Livelsberger, and Sara M. Hawley (David); and beloved grandmother to William T. Livelsberger, III, Theresa Sarah Livelsberger, Rebecca Leigh Hawley, and John "Jack" David Hawley.
Henryetta was a fountain of honest advice and had unwavering expectations for those she loved; she drove a hard bargain and never backed down from a challenge. Additionally, she was a talented cook, world traveler, and proud graduate of Bethesda Chevy Chase High School class of 1951, often participating in and helping to coordinate class reunions. Henryetta remained close to a small group of friends she met there throughout her life.
In 2010, Henryetta was recognized by Washington County Women At The Table with the Life of Leadership Award. She was an advocate, mentor, and an example to the many who come after her of the power and efficacy of civic engagement. She is also an example of what is possible if you engage with the life, art, people, and opportunities around you daily.
The world is less without her in it, but we will all keep moving forward because there's work to be done and connections to be made in her honor. The family wishes to thank her medical team: doctors, nurses, and specialists, for taking such good care of her throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Washington County Hospice in her name.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at StaufferFuneralHome.com.
