Mr. Carl "Fred" Pfistner

Mr. Carl "Fred" Pfistner, Jr., 86, of New Market, MD passed away April 8, 2018.  He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Anne Pfistner.

Born on February 22,1932 in NJ, he was the son of the late Olga and Carl “Fred” Pfistner Sr.

Fred was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Frederick. Fred retired from Fairchild Space & Defense in Germantown where he worked as a Configuration Management Specialist. He enjoyed working around his home and taking care of his family. He enjoyed spending time at Lake Linganore with his wife, their children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Stephen Pfistner and wife Carol of NH, Gail Gilpin and husband Ed of NC, Richard Pfistner and wife Patricia of New Market and Alison Alvarado of Mt. Airy; grandchildren Benjamin Pfistner and wife Sarah, Joanna Brock and husband Adam, Daniel Pfistner and wife Monika, Andrew Gilpin and wife Claire, and Nick Gilpin, Samantha and Danielle Pfistner, Dean and Nick Baudler and Federico and Anabel, Camila and Pedro Alvarado; great-grandchildren Whitney and Brady Brock, Timothy Pfistner and Aria Gleis.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Estes.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 3-5PM where a funeral service will begin at 5 PM.

Interment will be private.
