Morris "Trey" Knight, III
June 22, 1974 — May 12, 2015
Morris "Trey" H. Knight, III, 40, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, passed from this life into his eternal home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.
Born on June 22, 1974, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he is the son of Morris "Buck" H. Knight, Jr. of Sharpsburg and Jo Ellen (Keckler) Knight of Hagerstown, Maryland; and step-son of Karen Knight of Sharpsburg.
Trey was a 1992 graduate from Boonsboro High School.
He had recently been employed by S & J, Inc. in Frederick, Maryland.
Trey loved playing football in high school and he had been a BAAA and Arena Football Coach. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycling. He lived for his children and especially the opportunity to teach them to hunt, fish and ride motorcycle. Trey never met a stranger, and he will always be remembered for his jokes, nicknames for everyone, and his never ending smile.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Hannah N. Knight, and his son, Morris "Nick" H. Knight, IV, both of Boonsboro; one step-son, Andrew B. Moats of Williamsport, Maryland; his former wife, Carolynn (Cannon) Shirley of Williamsport; two sisters, Chante R. Kline and husband Brad, of Sharpsburg, and Kelli L. Lushbaugh and husband Larry, of Williamsport; one half-sister, Trina Fear of Williamsport; one half-brother, Jason Boudreaux of Boonsboro; one aunt, Nancy Knight of Boonsboro; two nieces; and five nephews. He will be especially missed by his two dogs, Duke and Bucky.
The family will gather with friends to celebrate Trey's life journey on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Morris Knight, III Memorial Fund for his children's college fund, at any Bulldog Federal Credit Union location.
