Morna Crampton
March 25, 1924 — August 29, 2015
Mrs. Morna M. Crampton, 91, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Edenton Retirement Center. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Crampton.
Born March 25, 1924 in Lee County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Kirk Ward.
Mrs. Crampton enjoyed spending time with her family, family reunions and going to Las Vegas. In earlier years she enjoyed embroidery work.
She is survived by her children Burl Phillips, Nella Mae Bush and husband Jerry all of Virginia, Robert Phillips of Illinois, Diane Capasso of Fl, Norma Panico of PA and Wendy Dunagan-Clevinger and husband Kennith Clevinger, III of MD., thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, two brothers Earl and Joe Ward and a sister Billie Lou Cress. She was preceded in death by a son George Bonham, Jr, a brother Edward Ward, a sister Mary Sue Lawson and her first husband Taylor Phillips, Jr.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Wednesday, September 2, from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm. With Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be private.
