Monica Lynn Routzahn

Monica Routzhan, 66, of Brunswick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ballenger Creek in Frederick, MD.  She was the beloved wife of Walter M. Routzahn for 39 years.  

Born on October 16, 1956, in Brunswick, MD, she was the daughter of the late John H.O.M. Howard and Evelyn Lee (Green) Howard. 

Monica worked for Geico and the DCAA as an auditor until her retirement.  She was a member of the Legion, Post #96 Brunswick and also the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.  Monica enjoyed gardening and bingo.  

In addition to her husband, Walter M. Routzahn, she is survived by her son Shannon K. Routzahn; grandson, Harrison Lowell ; sister -in-law Gloria Green and Mary Routzahn Handley both of Jefferson and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her brother Larry E. Green.  

The family will receive friends from 3-6 pm on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD.

A celebration of Monica's life journey will take place at 11 am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD.  Pastor Brian K. Bowers will officiate. 

 Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
