With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Monica Anne Fabi (Wise), who left us peacefully on April 20, 2025, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home.
Born on May 8, 1979, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland, Monica was the cherished daughter of Daniel and Grace Wise. She was raised in Rockville and graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in 1997.
Monica lived life with vibrant energy and deep love. The beach was her happy place—whether lying in the sun in her favorite bikini or traveling with family, she radiated joy wherever she went. She was the heart of every gathering, the one who brought everyone together for birthdays, holidays, and family dinners.
A devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother, and a proud grandmother, Monica poured her soul into her family. Her sense of style was as bold and beautiful as her spirit. Known as a true fashionista, she lit up every room with her chic, colorful outfits and magnetic presence.
Monica adored all animals, especially her beloved dog Olly, whom she now rejoins in heaven. Her happiest nights were spent cozied up in bed with her husband and children, watching favorite shows, sharing snacks, and simply enjoying each other's company.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bruno Fabi; her parents, Daniel and Grace Wise; her children Alexa, Giovanni, Gina, and Anthony (Bryanna) Fabi; her brother, Steven Wise; grandchildren Adriana Koontz and Vincenzo Fabi; her mother-in-law, Rosamaria Fabi; sister-in-law Tina Pearson (Rob); nieces Danielle Walker and Harley Wise; nephews Cody Wise and Alex Walker; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who adored her.
Services for Monica will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 1–4 PM and 6–9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Visitation, 14139 Seneca Rd, Germantown, Maryland, on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market St., Frederick, Maryland.
In honor of Monica’s generous and compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
She was our sunshine, our strength, and our everything. Monica’s love will live on in every memory, every laugh, and every family gathering she made so special. We will miss her endlessly.
