Mirna Mercado

Mirna Mercado, 81, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her home.

 Born on March 5, 1943, in Bolivia, she was the daughter of Marina Mercado.

 Mirna was a beacon of love and laughter, whose spirit touched all who knew her. With an infectious sense of humor, she could light up any room, making even the toughest days brighter. As a caregiver, she was unparalleled-selfless, compassionate, and devoted, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her nurturing nature, paired with her strength and resilience, made her a force to be reckoned with, and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

 She is survived by her children, Silvia and Jose Perez (Marina); her grandchildren, Carla (Alvin), Gabriella, Kelsey, and Fabrizzio; her great-grandchildren, Raphael, Rissel, Giovanni, and Audrey; her sister, Carola Gonzalez; and her nephew, Jorge Franco, along with his family.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD where a celebration of Mirna's life journey will take place at 11 am. Interment will be private.
