Mrs. Miriam J. “Jeanie” Rash, 71, of Littlestown, PA., formerly of Washington, Ill., passed away on November 8, 2010. She was the wife for 52 years of Harold D. Rash whom she married on July 5, 1958.
Born on October 25, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Neval K. Spencer and Marie V. Zinn.
She and her husband were graduates of the IllinoisSchool for the Deaf. She was retired from the U. S. Post office in Peoria, Ill.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children; Debbie Colbert and husband Derik of Frederick, Cheri Winnings of Frederick, Timothy Rash and wife Lisa of Mattoon, Ill, and Jenny Perry of New Market. Grandchildren; Jeremy Winnings, Jenica Winnings, Jabe Winnings, Alessa Rash (Perry), Chad Rash, Josianna Winnings, Liza Rash, Demi Colbert, Brady Perry, Cassidy Perry and Daniyal Colbert. Great grandchildren; Dayne Winnings, Hayden Winnings and Zamir Limani. Sisters, Sandra Cash and Darlene Britton. She was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Schnepper.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until time of funeral services at 2:00pm on Friday November 12, 2010, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. Pastor Christopher Hughes of the DeafCalvaryChurch, Frederick will officiate. Interment in Glade Cemetery Walkersville will be private.
