Milton I. Zlotin, 94 of Frederick, MD passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelda G. (Kaufman) Zlotin who passed away in 2005. They were married for 60 years.
Born May 14, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois he was the son of the late Abraham and Sophie (Lasher) Zlotin.
Milt was a man of many interests and talents , who excelled at all he did.
Mr. Zlotin served in the United States Army from 1941-1945.
He and his Wife were owners and operators of Cy’s Green Coffee Pot on Nantucket Island until his retirement in 1978. He served as Court Officer for the District Court in Nantucket.
He was a Mason, a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mr. Zlotin was a union member of the Chicago Federation of Musicians. He was a Concert Master and fine violinist in the Nantucket Community Orchestra .
He was also an expert marksman and fencer.
He is survived by his three children, Barry R. Zlotin and wife Patricia, Paula Nathanson and husband David, Elaine Z. Feldberg and husband Bob, seven grandchildren, Amy Marlow and husband Joshua, Jenny Lazarus and husband Julian, Adam Z. Nathanson, Michael L. Feldberg, Sarah Planer and husband Mark, Zachery R. Feldberg and Bim Bailey and husband Scott , four great grandchildren, Noah and Alana Marlow and Charlie and Oliver Lazarus and numerous nieces and nephews. He had resided at Sommerford for the last 9 years and had a special relationship with many, especially Viv, the Favorite Daughter, and Bev.
He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Pearl Moswin and Edith Lovinger.
Graveside services and interment will be in the Nantucket Jewish Cemetery, Nantucket, MA.
