Milton Roger Streifel, 71, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Born on August 7, 1939 in North Dakota, he was the son of the late Casper and Alice (Savelsberg) Streifel.
Milton attended St. Patrick's Elementary School in Dickinson, North Dakota and completed his high school education at the Monks of Assumption Abbey in Richardton, North Dakota. He earned his professional degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Streifel was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Boonsboro.
He was employed with Fedder and Garten Professional Association in Baltimore, Maryland.
Milton had a love of all things outdoors, especially trees and flowers. He will be fondly remembered for his enjoyment of writing and carpentry.
He is survived by his wife Joyce B. (Bohlen) Streifel; his two sons John and Patrick Streifel of Keedysville; his sister Mary Streifel of Dickinson, North Dakota; his brother Tom Streifel of Kodiak, Alaska; three nephews Courtney Kostelecky of Fargo, North Dakota, and Jonathan Streifel and Christopher Kostelecky both of Kodiak; one niece Chandra Jeanette of Nashville, Tennessee; and two great-neices Alicia and Erica Kostelecky both of Kodiak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2011 at St. James Catholic Church, 121 North Main Street in Boonsboro. Rev. John J. Jicha and Rev. George Limmer will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
