On October 7, 2023, Milton C. Denn Sr, 88, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed peacefully from this life at home surrounded by family.
The second of five siblings and two half siblings, Milton was born May 1935 in Baltimore County. He married his high school sweetheart, Dolores, and fathered four boys, Chuck, Mark, Jimmy and Dave. During high school he worked at Glade Valley-Garber Bakery. After attending Walkersville High School he began his career as an oil burner technician with C. Oland Meitzler's which became Griffith Consumers where he later retired after 42.5 years. During his career he obtained his HVAC license and home improvement license. He was also a 1st Lt with the Civil Air Patrol.
Milton was a master of many hobbies and interests including photography/videography, playing the organ, trains/model railroad, working on cars/motorcycles, woodworking, electronics, aviation, traveling, ham radio and tinkering.
He was the epitome of a family man and made sure each of his family members always knew how important they were to him. Milton took great pride in spending time with family and took every opportunity to be with them. If he had late night service calls he would bring his boys and wife along to be able to share time together. Extended family played a large role in Milton's love of family. Annual trips to camp on the beach, travel out west and holidays often included his extended family.
He is survived by his sons Chuck Denn and Mark Denn; daughter-in-law Karen Denn; grandsons Josh (Leslie) Denn, Orin (fiance Morgan Shoemaker) Denn, Alex Denn, Jeremy (Sarah) Myers; granddaughters Callie Denn and Casey (John) Carter; and many great-grandchildren.
