Mildred "Woody" Easterday
June 27, 1924 — August 18, 2007
Mildred G. "Woody" Jones Easterday, 83, of North Main Street, Boonsboro, passed away peacefully and went home to be with her Lord Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 27, 1924 in Fairplay, MD, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Irene Mae Mongan Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert S. Easterday, March 23, 1994.
She was a homemaker and a volunteer at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
She was a life-time member of Mt. Briar Church of God in Keedysville.
She is survived by her son, Robert E. Easterday and wife Patricia of Boonsboro; granddaughter, Kristine E. McGee and husband, Jeffrey of Keedysville; great-granddaughter, Leah J. Easterday of Boonsboro and great-grandson, Zachary A. McGee at home; sisters, Evelyn Byers and Freda Dayton both of Fairplay; and sister-in-law, Rachel Leggett of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Darin R. Easterday; sister, Betty "Jane" Garrish; and brothers, Edgar "Bob" Jones, John Jones, Maynard "Tom" Jones, Richard "Mike" Jones, Eugene "Ol Man" Jones and William "Sneak" Jones.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 21 at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. Joseph C. Burdette, Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
