Mildred {Millie} A. Sykes, 77 of Brunswick, Maryland passed away on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born July 6, 1930 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee and Rosa Lee Nolen.
She was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren.
Millie enjoyed attending the church services at the Brunswick House and she also enjoyed reading her Bible. She also attended the Senior Meetings and enjoyed writing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Scott and husband Bill of Brunswick, MD, a son, Dale Sykes of Senora, California, a brother, George Nolen and wife Ivory of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She will also be remembered by all of her special friends at the Brunswick House.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Burwell Nolen and William Nolen and a sister, Elizabeth Rippy.

Services:
A grave side service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Route 17 at Picnic Woods Road, Jefferson, MD at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Tim May and Rev. Amy Clark officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
