Mildred Griffith

Mildred Catherine (Wilhide) Griffith, 101, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Fahrney - Keedy Memorial Home.
Born on December 28, 1916, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Carl M. and Verda Long Wilhide. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas N. "Dick" Griffith.
Mildred is survived by daughters, Janet L. Askins, Sandra J. (Kenneth) May and Bonnie K. (Robert) Hargett all of Hagerstown; a son, Carl R. "Dick" (Irma) Griffith of Manning, SC; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sydney Jean Griffith; son-in-law, James Askins; sisters, A. Marie Conrad and Winifred Jo Adams; and one great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown with Rev. Darrell Layman officiating.
A Time of Remembrance will be held on Saturday at Ravenwood Senior Living Center immediately following interment.
