Mildred Foreman

Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Foreman, 90 of Frederick, MD passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Robert Foreman, Jr.

Born October 7, 1919 in New London, MD she was the daughter of the late Charles and Cordelia Fassett Pryor Sr.

Mildred (Millie) was educated in Frederick County Schools and received her GED in Baltimore City Schools. She was employed for 20 years as the head cook at the Peter Pan Inn and for 20 years as the head cook at the Town and Country Restaurant now known as the Red Horse Inn until her retirement in the 1970’s.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and her husband Robert.

She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star of Hope, Chapter 52 of New Market, MD.

She is survived by her three sons, John R.Forman III and wife Margaret of Frederick, MD, James W. Foreman and wife Carolyn of Gaithersburg, Raymond A. Foreman and wife Brenda of Frederick a daughter, Dorothy C. Allen of Frederick, God Child, Larry Pryor, her two brothers, William Pryor and Charles Pryor and wife Bernice, special cousin, Emmanora Sewell, seven brother-in-laws, twos ister-in-laws, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and other family members, friends and her many friends at the Taney Village Apartments.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald (Duck) and Richard Foreman, a great grandson, Darnell Foreman, son-in-law, Herald Allen, two brothers, James and Walter Pryor and her two sisters, Maudline Pryor and Dorothy Thompson.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, May 28 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, May 29 ^th at 11:00AM with Bishop Merle Lyles officiating.

Interment will be in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.
