Mildred (Bowers) Wright

Mildred Catherine (Bowers) Wright, of Gaithersburg, MD passed away peacefully with her daughter & Son-in-Law by her side on April 17, 2014 at Brooke Grove Rehab & Nursing in Olney, MD. Born January 20th 1913, in Grantsville, MD she was the daughter of the late Martha and Wesley Bowers. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis R. Wright, four brothers, Manning, Homer, Sterling, and Vernon Bowers. Mildred leaves behind, her sister Evelyn Pooler of Altoona, PA and brothers Carl and Harry Bowers of Grantsville, MD. She also leaves behind one daughter, Sheree L. Ziska of Mt. Airy; Son-in-Law Gregory A. Ziska of Mt. Airy; Step-Daughter Janice K. McCleary (Dale) of Damascus, MD; Step-Sons Francis R. Jr. (Nancy) of Quarrysville, PA and Dale W. Wright of Germantown, MD; Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She will be remembered fondly by special friends Florence Carolan, Barbara and Charles Reed. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mildred’s life will be held at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy, MD 21771, 2 PM, on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the Memorial Service. Pastor Tim May will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
