Milda T. {nee Holland} Ponton

Mrs. Mida T. Ponton (nee Holland), 83, of Frederick died Friday, April 25, 2008.
Born on May 24, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles Holland and Mida E. Palmer Holland. She was the beloved wife of Henry E. Ponton of 65 years.
Mrs. Ponton was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, the American Legion and the VFW Auxillary. She enjoyed attending auctions with her husband, Henry.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons; Pete Ponton and wife, Dorothy and Michael and wife, Chanson; a brother; Charles Holland, two sisters; Hazel Finnyfrock and Norma Badgely, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mida was preceded in death by five brothers; Carl, Earl, Glenn, Clyde and Wilson and a sister, Elizabeth.
Visitation: A visitation will be held Monday, April 28 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 29, at 1:00 pm. The Rev. John Schildt will officiate. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Holland, Bill Monath, Dale Clay, Ed Harshman, Pat Chase and Paul Barr.
