Midge C. Boteler McBride 72, of Woodbine, passed away on July 7, 2013 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. She was the wife of John B. McBride.
Born April 19, 1941 in Washington D. C. she was the daughter of the late Jack E.Brown and Jean M. Griffith and her husband James E. "Pop Pop".
Midge was a Legal Assistant and office manager for the law offices of T. Robert Romero in Rockville for over 30 years. Affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Maw Maw" she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs Molly and Dixie. She enjoyed playing cards with friends at the Mt. Airy Sr. Center and Providence United Methodist Church where she was lifelong member. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She sang with the National Christian Choir for four years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Charles E. "Chuck" Boteler Jr. and wife Jill of Monrovia, Curt Boteler and wife Melanie of Frederick and Melinda C.Herndon and husband Rick of Monrovia. Grandchildren Meghan, Chelsey and husband Sean, Joshua, Colin, Allison, Ashleigh, Ryan, Cody and Shyla. Great Grandson Layne Ponce. Sisters Becky Baughn, Patricia Beavers, Gail Stockett and Judy Crawford. Great Aunt Holly Pampillonia. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles E. Boteler Sr in 1999. Midge is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday July 12, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt.Airy, MD where funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday July 13. Reverend DD Adams and Reverend Linda Motter will officiate. Interment will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kemptown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick County Animal Control Medical Fund, 1832 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick, MD 21702; The National Christian Choir, 17-B Firstfield Road Suite 108, Gaithersburg, MD 20878; or Providence United Methodist Church, 3716 Kemptown Church Road, Monrovia, Maryland 21770.
