Michelle Lee Leonard

Michelle Lee Leonard, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, at her home, on Friday, October 20, 2023. Born on August 10, 1953, in Martinez, California, to the late Elmer Lee Manning and Frances Mary Manning. 

Michelle's life was filled with love and devotion to her family. She played a vital role in bringing everyone together and acted as the glue that bound them tightly. Her care and selflessness knew no bounds as she nurtured and looked after her loved ones with unwavering dedication.

In addition to her undying love for her family, Michelle found joy in simple pleasures like gardening and cultivating beautiful plants. She took pleasure in creating delicious meals for her loved ones and kept a spotless home through her passion for cleaning.

A cherished best friend, Katie Lee, accompanied Michelle on many shopping adventures. Their bond was unbreakable and added immeasurable happiness to both their lives.

Michelle will forever be remembered by all who knew her as a woman of incredible warmth and tenderness. Her presence brightened every room she entered, leaving an indelible impression on the hearts of those around her. Michelle's kind heart and loving nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Christopher Manning and wife, Misty Manning, Christina Leonard, and Melissa House and husband, Gary House. Her siblings, sister, Debbie Spence and husband, Steve Spence, and brother, Greg Manning, along with several nieces and nephews, mourn the loss of their beloved sister and aunt. 

Michelle's greatest source of joy came from spending time with her three adored grandchildren, Brady Weaver, Alexis House, and Jamison House. Their laughter filled her heart with pure happiness, creating treasured memories that will be cherished by them forever. 

Her beloved husband, George Albert Leonard, passed away just months before her, in March 2023. Michelle also mourned the loss of her brothers, Gary Manning, Dennis Manning, and Bob Manning.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home at 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. A celebration of life will follow beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. 

Michelle Lee Leonard's departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who loved her dearly. Her memory will be cherished forever, and she will be dearly missed.
