Michelina Lemon

Mrs. Michelina Tartaglia Lemon 98, of Mount Airy, MD, went home to the Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

Born October 1, 1925 in South Philadelphia, PA to the late Theodosio Tartaglia and Elvira Mancinelli Tartaglia.

Mikki’s late husband, John (Jack) G. Lemon, Sr. of 54 years served in the US Navy and therefore they lived in many states. In 1994, Mikki and Jack settled in Mount Airy, MD. No matter how many times they moved Mikki always made the house a beautiful home for her family.

Mrs. Lemon was active in St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church of Poplar Springs.
She was a member of St. Michaels Ladies Auxiliary, St Michaels OWLS, Mt. Airy Senior Center, American Legion Post 191 Ladies Auxiliary, and VFW Post 10076 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, John G. Lemon Jr. and wife Wendy, two daughters, Beverly A. Rains and husband Jack and Valerie S. Dick and husband Thomas.
Five granddaughters; Monica, Christina, Tiffany, Michele and Lisa. Nine great-grandchildren; Ashley, Sean, Braden, Elizabeth, Maxwell, Carson Marie, Cory, Colton and Adelaide.

Mrs. Lemon was preceded in death by her grandson Ryan and sister Italia "Dolly".

Visitation at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church of Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michaels Road, Mount Airy, MD 21771 Monday, December 11th from 10:00am to 11:00am. A mass of Christian burial immediately following.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
