Michael {Mike} Wayne Mercer

Mr. Michael Mike Wayne Mercer, 48 of King George, Va. (Formerly of Frederick) died Thursday June 5, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy Mercer.
Born June 21, 1958 in Frederick, MD., he was the son of Leonard Mercer and wife Sharon and the late Nellie J. Reed Mercer.
Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars.
In addition to his wife and father he is survived by three children Shannon, Michael and Heather Mercer, Four grandchildren, his sisters Mary Ann Blank, Juanita Lippart, Rose M. Bailey, Tammy Mercer and Belva Staley, his brothers Robert, Ronnie and Jim Mercer, Jr. Many cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, June 11, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
Services: Services will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Thursday, June 12, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro, MD
