Michael Warner

October 18, 1987 — November 10, 2018

Michael Ryan "Mikey" Warner, 31, of Monrovia died suddenly on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home. Born October 18, 1987 in Olney, he was the son of Chrissy and Chuck Warner of Monrovia. He was the husband of Jessica Warner, whom he married on January 4, 2016 and the loving father of their daughter Cora.

Mikey was a 2005 graduate of Urbana High School. He continued his education at West Virginia University where he received a bachelor's degree in business management in 2009 and served as a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. He was extremely proud of his college career at WVU and made many wonderful memories and special friends there.

Mikey was currently an Operations Manager with Brightview Landscapes of Clarksburg, where he worked for the last nine years. Mikey also attended the Urbana Academy for Jiu-Jitsu and recently competed in events. He was an avid Redskins and Mountaineers fan.  He loved to play golf, take trips to the beach, listen to music, and spend time with his friends and family, especially his daughter.

Mikey will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and big smile. He was caring, sensitive, and had a true heart of gold. He strived for the best and was always eager to continue learning. Mikey loved his friends and family immensely. Above all else, he loved being a father. His sweet daughter, Cora Rae, was his absolute world and the light of his life. Mikey made a true impact and touched the lives of many.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughter, Cora Rae Warner; his sister, Deme Warner; grandparents, Sarah V. Carrol and Albert A. Warner; sister-in-law, Anna Musselman; mother and father-in-law, Brenda and David Musselman.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Terry Carrol Brown (Frank), Tykie Carrol, Constance Carrol (Armando) and Julie Warner Gouveia (Kurt), many cousins, extended family members, and friends all of whom he loved so dearly.

He was predeceased by grandparents, Arthur L. Carrol, Evelyn L. Warner, and Georgie Musselman; and an aunt, Helen I. Carrol.

Private services for the family will be held at a later date.
