Michael Todd Smith

Michael Todd Smith, 51, of Frederick, Maryland died peacefully, after a battle with cancer, at Frederick Health Hospital on May 12, 2023.  He was a kind and gentle soul, liked by all who knew him.

Mike was born on September 21, 1971 in Rockville, MD and grew up in Frederick where he attended Thomas Johnson High School.  He met the love of his life while working at LaPaz Mexican Restaurant.  Mike was an excellent cook and an avid sportsman.  He loved all sports with a talent for car racing, working on and racing his own Mustang, skateboarding, BMX bikes as well as drones and RC cars.  But mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.

A proud and loving husband and father, Mike leaves his wife, Miranda (Lewis) and daughter, Isabel.  He will also me missed by many extended family members and friends.

Mike was employed as a Lot Attendant at Fitzgerald Service Center in Gaithersburg, MD where he enjoyed the respect of co-workers and customers.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Smith of Cumberland, Maryland.
