Michael “Mike” Leroy Taylor, 44 of Frederick passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014. He was the husband and best friend of Sheryl Taylor.
Born December 31, 1969 in Frederick he was the son of Roy and Barbara Taylor.
Mike was a loving and caring husband and father. He adored his children as they also adored him.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Mike was a 1987 graduate of Frederick High School and he graduated from Shepherd College in 1992. He was employed with Brethren Mutual as an Insurance Adjuster.
He played baseball his whole life and played for the Westminster Falcons. He was a softball coach for Maryland Express and loved coaching.
In addition to his parents and his loving wife Sheryl he is survived by his three children, Bailey Sartori, Abbigayle Sartori and McKenna Leigh Taylor, his seven brothers and sisters, Bunny Rose and husband Eugene, Jennifer East and husband John, Donna Taylor, Trish Bates and husband Ryan, Andy Taylor and wife Shannon, Cheryl Taylor-Howell and husband Oneil and Adam Taylor, his in-laws, Art and Nancy Galentine. He will also be remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, October 12th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 13th at 10:00AM with Rev. Ken Fell officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fund of McKenna Taylor and mailed to M & T Bank, 5585 Spectrum Drive, Frederick, MD 21703.
