Michael Eugene Smith, Jr. was born on April 18, 1979, in Frederick, Maryland to proud parents Michael Eugene Smith, Sr. and Debbie Perry Smith. He brought joy and laughter into their lives from the very beginning, with a smile that could light up a room. Michael possessed a great sense of humor, as well as exceptional intelligence and a heart full of kindness. His vibrant personality made him the life of the party and a beloved friend to many.
Graduating from Linganore High School in 1997, Michael was driven to succeed from an early age. He went on to pursue a career as a Project Manager for Miller and Long, where he dedicated 25 years of his life. His commitment and hard work were evident in everything he did, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues.
Outside of work, Michael had a passion for sports. He loved nothing more than watching football games with his family and cheering on his favorite teams the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals, Washington Wizards, and the Maryland Terps. Sports brought out his competitive side, but also provided an opportunity for family bonding. He would often reminisce about playing sports in the backyard with his cousins during his younger years.
In addition to sports, Michael had a love for country music, particularly the music of Morgan Wallen. The melodies resonated with him deeply and provided solace during both good times and bad.
One of Michael's proudest accomplishments was being a loving father to his three children - Jordyn, Devyn, and Griff. He cherished every moment spent watching them grow and participating in their lives. Whether it was attending their sporting events or simply being there to provide guidance and support, he was an unwavering presence in their lives.
Michael also took immense pride in his 1989 Ford Mustang. It was a symbol of his love for classic cars and served as a reminder of the joy and freedom he found behind the wheel.
