Michael Smith

Michael Keith Smith
November 19, 1963 - April 15, 2021

On April 15, 2021, we lost a vital member of our family, Michael Keith Smith.

Michael was the youngest of three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and Ruthann Smith.

He leaves to mourn his loss two children, Malcom E. Smith and Veronica M. (Bobby) Smith; three grandchildren; a devoted fiancé, Helena Foreman; a brother, Carl Smith; one sister, Cheryl Smith; two aunts, Marriann Payne and Suzanne Griffith; stepfather, Wayne Palmer; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by one son, Michael K. Smith Jr.; paternal grandparents, Harvey Willis and Mable Weedon, and Ned and Jeanette Smith of Michigan and by his grandchildren, Jada, Gabi and Kayel Smith.

Michael (Smitty as he was known to his friends) will be remembered by special friends,William Hamilton, Tony Littles and Jesse Dunn. Michael was quite the outdoorsman and enjoyed collecting antiques. He was very proud of his collection of Black Memorabilia. He loved flowers and dogs and there was nothing he had not tried, including boating. We have many memories of Michael. He will be truly missed and loved by all who knew him.

Special thanks to Cousin Melody for being there when he needed her. The family also wants to thank all who attended to the family's needs and for their love and support during this time.

Services for Michael will be private.
