Michael Shook

Mr. Michael “Mike” Wayne Shook, 66, of Thurmont, MD., passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Gettysburg Hospital. He was the husband of Kay Fox Shook.
Born March 13, 1945 in Norwich, England, he was the son of Thomasina Latimer Shook of Thurmont and the late Herman Denver Shook.
Mike served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a quality engineer from Marsh-McBirney. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman Club, the American Legion Post# 168, and a lifetime member of the N. R. A. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two children Michael Wayne Shook, Jr. and wife Tonya of Gig Harbor, WA and Andrea Shook of Raleigh, NC, a grandson Daniel, a sister Glenda Jean Cross and husband Ron of Mercedes, TX and Terry Shook of Ellington, CN.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD on Tuesday, September 20, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 pm.
Interment Blue Ridge Cemetery.
