Michael Shannon

Michael Joseph Shannon, 63, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019 in Jefferson, Maryland.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Jean Shannon; his daughter, Laura Rohrbaugh and son-in law, Nathan Rohrbaugh; his brothers, Bob Anderson and wife, Ethel and Dr. Clinton Dale Anderson; sisters, Linda Gail Holbrook and Hazel Matheson; and many nieces and nephews.
Mikey was born September 12, 1955 in Floyd, Kentucky.  He was a “self-taught” computer programmer working in Aerospace for the majority of his 30+ year career.  He was known for his positivity and never-ending optimism.  He would always remind you that you have the choice when you wake -up to have a good day or a bad day and to make sure you make it a good day.  People gravitated to his intelligence, optimism, and his innate ability to lift everyone’s mood.
He is now with his Mommie, Dad and siblings who have passed before him.
His celebration of life and receiving of friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27th at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, Maryland.
