Obituary for Michael Allan Schleeter
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Allan Schleeter, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Michael was born on August 19, 1958, in Maryland, where he lived a fulfilling life until his peaceful departure on February 18, 2024, in Frederick, Maryland.
Michael dedicated his professional life to working as a Mechanical Engineer. His dedication and passion for his work left a lasting impact on those around him. Beyond his career, Michael was known for his kind and giving spirit. He had a knack for making everyone feel welcomed and cherished.
One of Michael's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family and friends. He found true happiness in the simple moments shared with his loved ones. Whether it was a fishing trip, a round of golf, or a bowling night, Michael's presence always brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
In addition to his career and hobbies, Michael was actively involved in the community as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. His commitment to service and camaraderie enriched the lives of many and left a legacy of compassion and generosity.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Vivian Denisse Schleeter; his daughters Ashley Fisher (Matt) and Milka Bracero (Felipe); his sons Alex Ongay (Emily) and Miguel Ongay (Gloria); his adoring grandchildren Skyler, Aurora, Rosslyn, Andee, Manu, Mateo, and soon-to-arrive baby Benjamin; as well as other dear family members including the Hortons, Melodee Bielfeldt, Linda Gherhardt, Merin; and not forgetting his loyal companion Rambo.
The family will receive friends at Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Middletown Road, Middletown, MD 21769 on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Mass will follow at 11:00am.
Interment will be private.
